Escaping the hustle and bustle of the city to discover the wonderful landscapes of the Catalan Pyrenees is one of the most sought-after adventures for nature lovers. Mas Redortra is a rural estate that will allow you to fully enjoy the Catalan natural environment.
Our rural house is located in a privileged location near the Catalan Pyrenees. In the region of Osona, it offers wonderful views of Montseny and Plana de Vic, and is easily accessible from Barcelona. A perfect connection point between the city and nature.
Mas Redortra is located at the gateway to the Pyrenees, in the so-called Catalan pre-Pyrenees. The estate covers an area of six hectares and rises from 800 to 1200 meters above sea level.
Walks through the Ges-Bisaura valley are perfect all year round, and the proximity to the regions of Ripollès and Garrotxa means that a wide range of outdoor activities are available: from climbing to hiking or horse riding. Additionally, from our rural house in the Pyrenees, it is very easy to reach the ski resorts of Vallter 2000, Nuria, and La Molina, all less than an hour away.
The region of Osona, where our rural house with barbecue is located, is an ideal spot in Catalonia for a group, family, or couples getaway. Our accommodation is divided into three independent modules following the classic configuration of a traditional farmhouse: the main house, Masia Redortra, the annex of the old barn, and the masoveria, each carefully restored and maintaining the rustic style with stone walls and wooden roofs. Each of the constructions can accommodate up to 12, 8, and 4 people, and can be booked independently or together for groups of up to 24 people.
Furthermore, the event halls can also be adapted for different groups of up to 150 people for various celebrations. A barbecue, swimming pool, and outdoor play area are also available at our rural house near the Catalan Pyrenees.

Mas Redortra is a perfect starting point for many excursions in the Catalan Pyrenees and in the regions of Osona, La Garrotxa, and El Ripollès.
In El Ripollès, the ascent to the valley of Nuria is one of the best-known. Perfect for any time of the year, it allows hikers of all ages to enjoy the great scenic value of the area. The Garrotxa region stands out for its volcanoes, which form a unique ensemble in Europe and are highly recommended for both beginner hikers and long walks. Mountains such as Puigsacalm can also be found in the region.
However, the classic excursion for those who want to discover the surroundings of Mas Redortra is the ascent to the monastery of Bellmunt, an excursion of just over an hour and suitable for all ages, perfect for getting to know the area and enjoying the natural heritage of Osona and the Valley of Ges. At 1,246 meters above sea level, the monastery offers wonderful views of the Pyrenees, Montseny, and Montserrat.
Beyond the regions bordering Mas Redortra, very close to the estate, there are highly recommended places and excursions to discover the Catalan Pyrenees. Tagamanent, in Vallès Oriental, is one of the most famous mountains in Catalonia, at 1,056 meters high and crowned by a castle dating back to 945. Port del Comte is also a well-known location, in a mountain range that divides Solsonès and Alt Urgell and offers visitors various excursions.
Mas Redortra is ideal to enjoy a getaway near the Catalan Pyrenees with children. The estate has a large wooden playhouse with a kitchenette and all kinds of toys, and the little ones can also enjoy the swimming pool throughout the year.
The nearest ski resort to Mas Redortra estate is Nuria, in the region of Ripollès. Additionally, the resorts of VallTer2000, La Molina, and Masella are also nearby, approximately an hour away.
The Mas Redortra estate can accommodate up to 24 guests, separated into 9 double and triple rooms, distributed across 3 different modules. Each of them has a living room, dining room, and kitchen with all necessary services.
The farmhouse has a maintenance person who comes daily to ensure that everything functions perfectly, from heating, swimming pool, waste management, or water systems, taking care of every detail to ensure total privacy for the guests. This person does not stay on the estate but comes daily, and you can consult them not only about the functioning of the estate but also for recommendations on local excursions and activities.
The estate has magnificent spaces that adapt to different celebrations and their number of guests: The classic hall has a capacity for up to 30 people, a large work table, sofas, and spaces with classic decoration. The main hall, with a capacity for up to 150 seated people and 200 standing people, is perfect for hosting all kinds of activities and events for large groups. Rentals for events at Mas Redortra include the use of outdoor spaces of the estate, with gardens, terraces, access to the lake and swimming pool, horse stables, and riding track.
