On October 25th and 26th, 2024, Mas Redortra hosted a team-building retreat organized by Exalate, a tech company based in Belgium that specializes in integrating project management and collaboration platforms. With a globally distributed team, these events are essential for fostering team cohesion and maintaining a strong dynamic among employees.
On this occasion, 17 team members from different parts of the world — with English as their common language — chose Mas Redortra for their gathering, opting for full accommodation in the three separate modules of the estate, with a total of 9 bedrooms.
Friday: Arrival and activities
The group arrived on Friday morning by car from Barcelona. After getting to know the facilities and settling into their rooms, they were welcomed with a breakfast buffet prepared by local catering service Fogón Patagónico, led by Jordi. Specializing in Argentine-style grilled meats, the company offered a variety of sweet and savory options, including homemade carrot cake, fresh fruit, juices, coffee, and tea.
At 10:30 a.m., the Roombo Escape team, led by Sergi, organized an immersive escape room experience across the estate. The game, Total Destiny, involved finding hidden clues throughout the property via an interactive mobile app. This activity kept participants entertained until lunchtime.
For lunch, Fogón Patagónico served sandwiches made with coca bread from Folgueroles, filled with orange-liqueur-flambéed grilled chicken, Roquefort cheese, mayonnaise, and mixed greens. In the afternoon, the team had free time to explore the estate or relax.
A more adventurous group hiked up to the Sanctuary of Bellmunt with Toni, our local guide and nature expert. Toni adapted the route to match the group’s various fitness levels, ensuring everyone could enjoy the spectacular views of the Plana de Vic, the Ges Valley, and the Montseny mountains.
Back at the estate, the team from LoCatamos led a wine tasting session, offering participants the chance to sample four carefully selected wines. This activity was a hit and set the tone for the evening, which featured a spectacular Argentine barbecue. The catering team accommodated all dietary restrictions, providing vegetarian options and other personalized meals.
Rain didn’t stop the fun!
Saturday morning brought heavy rain, but the Mas Redortra team and the caterers adapted quickly, offering a full breakfast buffet with coffee, tea, juices, cured meats, cheeses, and sweet options like pastries and fresh fruit. The relaxed atmosphere allowed participants to enjoy their final conversations and the peaceful surroundings before wrapping up the event.
A positive closing
Exalate was highly satisfied with the retreat and the quality of services provided by Mas Redortra, highlighting our dedication to creating a warm and well-organized experience. With the sense of a meaningful and enriching stay, the participants said their goodbyes and headed off to catch international flights to their respective destinations.
