Playcook and paella competition for the Ralph Lauren team

On Wednesday, February 26, 2025, Mas Redortra hosted a group of 20 people from the company Ralph Lauren for a one-day teambuilding event, with the goal of disconnecting from routine, coming together, and strengthening team bonds. The event was designed to offer a dynamic and fun day while allowing participants to enjoy the scenery and group activities in a peaceful and inspiring setting.

Arrival and Welcome: the excitement of a different kind of day

The group arrived at Mas Redortra in the late morning, between 10 and 11 a.m. They were warmly welcomed by the estate’s team, who gave them a tour of the facilities and made sure they were comfortable before starting the activities. The participants, who came from various locations, were excited to begin a different kind of day and step away from their daily work routine. The first stop was outside the Barn, where a unique cooking workshop for the team was organized.

Cooking Workshop: a Masterchef outdoors

The main activity in the morning was a cooking workshop organized by The Playcook, a company specialized in teambuildings with a very special version of Masterchef. The proposal was to prepare a surf and turf paella, a typical and delicious dish that allowed participants not only to learn a traditional recipe but also to practice their teamwork skills.

The cooking took place on the lawn in front of the Barn, a spacious and open-air space that was the perfect place to enjoy the sun and fresh breeze while preparing the ingredients. The Playcook set up a portable kitchen that allowed participants to cook in an improvised way, in the style of top chefs. The participants were divided into groups to prepare the vegetables, meat, fish, and seafood, all while following the instructions of cooking experts who guided them through the process. The atmosphere was very relaxed and filled with good humor, with lots of smiles and interactions between team members as they collaborated to create the dish.

The company Anna Paraments i Serveis provided all the necessary kitchenware and tableware for the cooking and the meal, including plates, dishes, and tablecloths. The table was set inside the Barn in a rectangular format, creating a cozy and unique atmosphere for lunch. The participants sat down to share the fruits of their labor and enjoy the surf and turf paella they had prepared themselves.

Lunch and dessert: a gastronomic experience

The lunch was an absolute success. The participants enjoyed the delicious paella, full of flavors and prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Teamwork was essential to make the dish a success, and all team members shared the pride of seeing the final result. For dessert, a delicious chocolate cake was served, which participants were able to decorate as they wished, adding a personal and creative touch at the end of the meal.

The participants took advantage of this time to talk with each other, share experiences, and laugh about the anecdotes from the cooking workshop. The day was characterized by a very pleasant atmosphere, where camaraderie and fun were the protagonists. The team members were able to enjoy a moment of relaxation as they shared their efforts and celebrated the successes of the day.

Free time: nature, relaxation, and adventure

After lunch, the group had free time to enjoy the wonderful facilities of Mas Redortra. Some decided to take a route to the Bellmunt Sanctuary, a landmark in the area known for its spectacular views of the Vic Plain and the surrounding areas. Led by Toni Serra, our local guide, the group embarked on a two-hour hike, with a route adapted to the different levels of the group. The view from Bellmunt was spectacular, with Montseny and the Ges Valley as a backdrop. This moment allowed participants to connect with nature and enjoy an active break in the heart of the mountains.

Others, preferring a more peaceful activity, stayed at the estate to enjoy the pool, which, with the beautiful weather, was the ideal place to relax. In addition, the gardens of Mas Redortra, spacious and beautiful, offered the perfect setting to stroll and enjoy the beauty of nature while sharing informal conversations and relaxing before departure.

Farewell: a day full of camaraderie

Around 5 p.m., the group concluded the day and began collecting their personal belongings before leaving. With their own vehicles, they headed home with a sense of having had an unforgettable day. A day filled with moments of camaraderie, fun activities, team dynamics, and lots of gastronomy.

Ralph Lauren left Mas Redortra with the feeling of having lived a very enriching experience, both professionally and personally, thanks to the activities that allowed the group to disconnect, strengthen team bonds, and enjoy an environment of relaxation and nature.
